HOW IT WORKS
We divide your group up into five sections. You can do this ahead of time if you want certain people to work together, or we will just have the room set with five tables.
The show is usually performed around a meal, but can be done in virtually any format. We will describe the meal format here...
PRESHOW As guests come in and are seated, the salad (and cocktails, if desired) are served.
Scene One... As the show starts, the lighthearted (and somewhat light-brained) British constables describe the circumstances surrounding a puzzling murder. They move about the entire room as they deliver the hilarious high-energy dialogue that gets the group into a mood to have fun.
Every so often they will stop at a table and point out a suspect, until it ends up that there is a suspect on every team. They then announce that the remaining folks will act as the legal team for their suspect. They explain the rules
BREAK 1 Entree served as the teams work on their questions.
Scene Two finds us in the courtroom. Our actors return as a fun-loving judge and his bailiff. Each suspect will be sworn in, and must answer four yes-or-no questions posed by a rival team. The results are recorded and posted for all to use as reference. (this is where the show can reach new levels of hilarity, as often, seeing their coworkers “under oath,” prompts questions that have nothing to do with the mystery)
BREAK 2 Dessert is served as teams work to create a solution to the mystery. There is no right answer! This is an exercise in creativity, and, along with using the evidence recorded in Scene Two, teams usually come up with some stories about what happened that are funnier than we could have written.
Scene Three will reveal all the solutions! The Bobbies are back to read all the solutions out loud (with comic commentary). A “winning” solution is chosen. Prizes are awarded to the five audience members who played parts in the show, as well as to the winning team.
PARTNERS IN CRIME can be performed at our locations, where we have show/meal packages available, or almost any venue you can imagine. We’ve performed this show in boardrooms, restaurants, on boats and trains, and more typically, in hotel banquet rooms. Whatever the venue THIS SHOW IS A WINNER!
